How to Embed a Twitch Stream
Quick note: Twitch embeds can only be created from a web browser right now and the embedded streams can't be viewed from within the Tumblr app.
Okay. In a web browser, open up a new post with a video block. You can do this by clicking the video icon in the row of post options:
Or by inserting a video block:
Next, click "Add video from web":
Paste a Twitch.tv link (like this one: https://www.twitch.tv/jerma985) into the post and click "Insert." Now the stream embed is in the post and you're ready to publish it.
Wait, how do I get that Twitch link? 🤔
You've got a few options. On Twitch, head to a streamer's profile and copy their profile URL:
Using the profile URL will embed the streamer's livestream in your post.
What if the streamer isn't live?
If there's no live video, Twitch shows a placeholder in the embed:
You can also grab a specific video's URL from the video's "Share" menu:
